NVIDIA GeForce Experience App Question

I installed Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and the DLC high res texture pack thru Steam.

But I have GeForce Experience installed and this optimized Skyrim to play on ultra settings.

My question is, do the optimized settings transfer over to Steam as well, or do I have to only launch Skyrim using GeForce Experience?

I am wondering if I play Skyrim using the GeForce launcher if I will still get the high res texture pack mod or is that just enabled for my Steam account? Curious.

In my experience, launching in Steam as normal uses any settings in GeForce Experience. Hope this helps.

Although it will probably still launch it with the high rez textures, I would advise against running GEFExperience if using visual mods. The program simply sets up the game to run at recommended settings based on your graphics card, like AA and AF. When you run different mods or textures in a game, you are changing the 'graphics level' (if that makes sense). 2k textures, or whatever it is you are running, require more system resources than the default ones do, and settings should be adjusted accordingly.
