Im curious, what are your guys monthly internet usage? How much data do use use on average?

I've just hit 300GB a month. But in fairness this includes not only me, but 2 other roommates. Who use netflix, hulu, stream radio and music, games. I even use my internet for my phone since i get bad reception.

I have a "cap" of 250GB a month and i can average from 200-300GB a month depending on work status, my roommates work statuses as if they are working overtime they are not home watching a movie or tv show on netflix.

I have even switched to paying all my bills online, all my banking online, and my work has gone paperless with their paychecks and stubs and i have gone as paperless as i can.

Do i seem like an "excessive user"?
Keep in mind i do not want to pay an extra $50 for cable and have almost nothing to watch. Easier to jump online to all these other video services and have a choice as to what and when i can watch most stuff.

You're not wrong at all, because I had a cap of 250 GB as well when I was living with my two roommates and we would always be within 5 GB of the monthly cap every month, so no. Using 200-300 GB in a month is not excessive. It just means you download a lot, and since you're all streaming hulu+, netflix, youtube, and things like pandora radio / last.fm you're downloading a HELL OF A LOT of data... :3

Using just the right amount imo, also tells me you torrent, but that's fine as well... :3

haha yes i torrent, but i don't do it illegally....very much.

I may torrent diablo 2 since my diablo 2 disc is scratched, or i may download say season 7 of a tv show only because netflix only has seasons 1-6...that sort of stuff.

Im wondering if my provider is going to contact me, the month of march i only did 190GB then in april i did 338GB, now this month im around 310GB.
