DOS Games Front End

Postby stinow » Tue Oct 18, 2011 3:34 pm

Hi all,

I'm looking for a quick working front-end for Dos Games.
I've looked at D-Fend, but when having 600+ games, it takes too long to add al the games you like.

The alternative is building the app myself in Java and let the user choose (in Wizard mode) which file to use as exacutable for each directory.

Any thoughts?

:thankyou:

I dont know of any and never really needed one for the PC games collection. TOo many variables for each game to make it a viable interface I think.

Let me know what you find.

Hiya

I use D-fend reloaded. it's a bit of a long and windy road to setup, but once it's done it's done and fast to load too

Thanks, I'll give it another try, 'cause it's hard to find any other.
It might be worthwhile programming a simple interface myself. Hardest part is to get the highest possible executable hits ;). Have to check for .bat, .exe files, shortcuts, setup files etc.

Bit offtopic, but I just found a nice download you can use in (for example) a virtual environment!
