I am very sorry to hear that, I was getting excited for you. Why not look at a Phenom rig instead.

AMD...? I don't really care for AMD, no offense. I was tinkering with my friend's Phenom rig and it didn't perform as well as my other friend's i7. Besides, it's just my preference to use an Intel processor, never had anything else.

What if we asked everyone to donate to your cause Maybe we could raise some cash for you to get a rig built. At the end of the day we all need you around this place.

I appreciate the notion, truly I do, but I don't expect anyone to pay for it for me. Besides, I still have this computer, so it's not like I'm disappearing. I'm just not going to be my cheerful self for a couple of days, that's all.

I know that the current i7 CPUs will out perform their AMD counterparts but if value for money (bang for your buck) is what you are after then AMD Phenom Quad Core + ASUS MB + ATI Card will do the job very well for a lot less.

That all said I do hope that you get sorted soon and please dont be afraid to ask if you need anything. I will do all I can to support those people that are involved here. We are a community/family and as such we need to support each other when required.
