HOWTO | Jailbreak an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch

requirements:
Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2 (not 3.2.1)
Any version of iTunes 9 earlier than 9.2
Computer PC or Mac


1.sync your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch with itunes (the iPad should be running OS 3.2)(this is important dont skip it)
2.download the spirit jailbreak for Windows,Mac OS
3.connect iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to computer using usb cable
4.run the spirit jailbreak app [you need to be a administrator to run in windows][and if it still doesnt work run it on compatibility mode as windows 98/me]
5.click the jailbreak button
6.the iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch will automatically reboot
7.once rebooted youll see the cydia application installed on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch desktop



your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch is now jailbroken

Im talking about in general. This is usually the process:

1) New device comes out
2) A little bit later (depending) someone says they've cracked it -woot woot-
3) a huge and complicated process is given out to crack your own. if you mess up your screwed
4) [sometimes] A simpler process is delivered to make it easier
5) An automated process that requires an iq over 6 to acomplish is released
6) New product released or a patch
Rinse and repeat

This process is now defunct so I've un-stickied the thread and locked it. Sorry gamfrkI, it is a great tut, just no longer of any use to anyone using any kind of iPod or iPhone or iPad.
