In my laptop,i installed avira antivirus free edition and after some time, i removed it? in my laptop,i installed avira antivirus free edition and after some time, i uninstalled it.now,when i want to install avira 2012 edition.it shows that one version of avira installed.when i try to see any ramnants of old avira.only, i find one icon in control panel>all control panel items>avira antivir personal.but, i could not open and delete it.please can anybody sugest how to remove it and install new version.

Use a program such as WinOptimizer that has a program uninstaller. If this does not work, you can manually look in your program files and remove all the files it may have left behind, then do a registry check (run: regedit) for Avira and delete all it's keys.
