As a lot of you will already know. In Jan 2010 theoldcomputer.com finally got its own dedicated server. Hosted in Florida the server (which is real not virtual) has 200GB storage, Core2Duo CPU with built in backup. Running Linux, Apache and PHP this server has a 100MBit connection to the web and unlimited bandwidth use.

This new server platform has allowed me to greatly expand the site, add a lot more roms (that 18GB Amiga Section might actually happen now ) and implement our own dedicated services like this SQL driven BullitenBoard.

The only downside is the cost. Hosting fees at present is approx $200 per month. This is funded out of my private pocket. The only income I receive comes from your donations and a small revenue from advertising which is why I need everyone to help out.

The only way that I can keep this going is to receive more donations. Please visit the main site to donate and help me grow this community.

Can always add some more advertising too and get rid of it later. Right now it wouldnt hurt to have some of that since this is still the begenning.
