Important Changes to ROM Database

Postby Hot Trout » Sat Jul 10, 2010 4:00 pm

Everyone Please Read

I keep getting asked if I can offer complete roms sets instead of single roms. ALthough I can not offer complete sets due to bandwidth restrictions I have made three important changes now to make downloading more enjoyable.

1. I have allowed the downloads to open in a new browser window. This will allow you to start your download without navigating away from where you were in the database and therefore loosing your place in the database. This should make downloading faster, as you will be able to have multiple downloads at the same time.

2. The Second thing I have done is to simplify the download screen by removing the majority of advertisements. The new screen is faster that the previous version.

3. I have removed the INVIEW adverts, these are the adverts that appear between pages when browsing. This will also remove frustration when browsing.

I hope these changes will help everyone enjoy the site even more.

Thanks for the positive feedback, looks like this was the right thing to do.

Yes, the in-between ads are a pain. Thankfully I have Adblock Plus installed into my firefox so I never see any ads... anywhere, ever. :D
