MAME roms 1-by-1 why?

It's a major pain to have to download Mame roms one by one, why don't you offer a complete download for each of the major versions or at least structure it in a way that can take advantage of browser plugins like DownloadThemAll! especially since they're only available to your paid members.

Hello -- I agree -- I thought by donating I would have access to download the complete set of ROMs for Mame 0.139 but now I am forced to download them one at a time. Is it possible to get a refund? $10 is not worth the time it would take me to download more than 3000 roms individually.

Guys, I understand your frustration and we would love to offer complete single download sets of all the Mame sets for our members but unlike other sites we offer many full sets of mame and we cannot at the minute afford the space and or bandwidth required for users to download 30+ GB at a time. I hope you can understand our problem.

If we can get our server upgraded before the end of 2013 we might add another complete Mame set, if this was to happen, which full set would you prefer us to add?

no site will give you direct download to a 42GB (0.150 set) archive.

the best solution is for HT to upload a merged set of 0.150 which is around 28GB in size and this way you download the main rom and all of it clones in a single archive and drop it in the rom folder and play.

dont know the file count at the moment but it is less then a split set.

there are some ways to reduce full sets,removing non workings roms,mahjong roms,bell fruit roms and etc.
