I have an old laptop running Windows 2000 with SP4 and I was wondering if there is a way
to get around the obstacles and install IE7 onto Windows. Please tell me if you know any way.
I looked all over the internet but everything said I couldn't. Thanks an please help.

It's not possible because of hardware incompatibility, to my knowledge.

Your best bet is to get a copy of Windows XP Professional w/ SP 3 and install that. That's about as advanced an OS as you could put on that machine. The other reason is Windows Aero would destroy that old machine.

Sorry guy. :hi:

i too have Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4. your best option is to get a copy of Mozilla Firefox version 12.0. as far as i know this the most upto date web browser for win2k and it's the last version of firefox that works on win2k as well. you will also be able to only use java 6.0.280.3 and shockwave flash 9.0.280.0.

I don't think so it can be possible to force IE7 onto window 2000. If you do that it may make error in your window.
