Guys,

I want to share with you a new and very exciting section of the website. Before I get an ear bashing about the emulators section needing done first, please be aware that in coding this new database I was also working on the solution to the emulators and as a result will now be able to upload it as well.

First things first.

This link is beta and only has a few images for testing but it does seem to be working well. It will be easily maintained and fast for the users. It is the game box art database. A collection of as many as possible game covers/box scans, cart artwork etc.

Please check it out and let me know what you think.

So I guess we should stop uploading boxart for the screen shot section on the C|R|SS thingy on each ROM?

Very nice job, this is why TOC is the best Retro site I know of. After the emulator section upgrade, I think this is the kind of thing that needs to be given some attention.

Well, good point. I want people to treat the C|R|SS section of the roms as their section, somewhere they can upload comments, reviews and screenshots. The Boxscans section will be more formal and is designed to give people the cover art, cd label and such for tha roms they like.

It will now also be quite easy to add the game manuals and magazine sections.

UPDATE:

I hope you have already noticed that the Cover Art / Box Scans section is fully up and running and with quite an impressive collection of covers to get started. I had always wanted to provide a more simple and fast way for people to find the box art of their game and I think this is it.

Go take a browse and let me know what you think. This section is now available on the MainMenu of every page.
