3rd update Yesterday we had some time to continue the build (yay!). We started at about 5pm and worked until 0:30 am.
I'll let the pictures do the talking:
Products received:
- 16x transparent white buttons
- 16x RGB LED's
- 16x Microswitches
- 2x Ultramarc 360 joysticks
- 1x lightbar for the marquee
- 2x Usb cables
- Other cables..
Drilled and sawed out the square for the coin-door. Also had to drill some holes for the (uneven in length) 'moeren' that are attached to the door.
Had to make a (dirty looking) backplate for the subwoofer roster. We made a small mistake with the hole drilling, so. You can also see the start of us making the holes for the 'lamelle' wood connections.
Positioning of several bottom-front elements.
Positioning of several top elements.
As you can see, front-visible elements will be a bit 'dropped back' so the two sidepanels will stick out a little more.
Testing the layout, without any wood-connections made or glue used.
Unfortunatly we had to remove the side holders for the monitor because it would be a pain in the :reddy: to make the wood connections with that still on the both sidepanels.
Wood connection holes just made
And putting the lamello's in!
Had to shave off some of the edge of the monitor-bottomplate. That was because it didn't fit into the sidepanel. The board wasn't exactly 18mm thick, and the CNC machine
did make an exact 18mm cut out of the sidepanels.
Starting to glue the bottom together and you can also see the monitor-bottom panel almost in position.
Skyscraper city!
Whole cabinet frame put together and put the speaker rosters on!
Things we have to do next:
- Build control panel
- Make and fit the drawer for the keyboard & mouse
- Make cut-outs for the orange t-molding
- Put in coindoor
- Install subwoofer
- Install monitor
- Install PC
- Wireing
'Till next time!
