what was your first emulation site?

Postby nightshade » Mon Sep 29, 2014 2:39 am

Mine was a site called emulation excitement...... and then that one died to being too popular and the owner couldnt fund it (he tried by selling overpriced chess sets at christmas ).. I then found the usual suspects ie zophars and such that you find on a google search (which havent been updated in ages usually) and i used mame dk for years .....

so what was yours ?
"theres no point it telling me the wisdom of a fool cant and wont set me free"-new order
"its always easier and usually better to get forgiveness than permission"-various

my first emulation site was freeroms. and i used that site for a few years, but some of the (few) emulators they offered were either complete crap or very out of date. i did a search for emulation sites and found zophars site and one or two others, but Theoldcomputer.com had the best of both worlds. roms AND emulators.

Mine was zophars but I quickly realized that I have more roms than the sites I was visiting so I decided to try and create my own site. Thats were it all started.

I can't remember my first emulation site, I've been to so many. It was probably cool-rom, or perhaps zophar. I remember back in the day when I found cool-rom, it was still using hentai ads to fund the site.
