After much careful thought and preparation of the site and also after some saving and plans for the future, I have decided to trial an advert free site. That's right, you heard me. From tonight on for a period of a few weeks I plan on running the site with zero advertising of any sort. This will have the effect of significantly faster site speed and also no more annoying adverts while browsing.
Recent levels of donations have remained steady and are catering for our costs and it is for this reason that I am running this probation period, to see if we can manage without any adds. To be honest I hate the adverts and always have but they did provide income, but with our current regular donations we might just be able to live without them.
I ask everyone to spread the news, and also continue to support us with your donations. I am counting on the fact that more people will donate as a result and in order to keep the adverts away. Needless to say that the lack of adverts will make us quite unique among our peers and will yet again set us apart from the dozens of other rom sites.
