Philips Videopac anyone ?

Postby marvin2002 » Mon Jul 16, 2012 8:01 pm

Hey there - I'm new here - and I was wondering: any Philips G7000/G7400 Videopac / Odyssey2 collectors on the board ? I didn't find a single mentioning of the system (apart from the ROMs section)

its a neat little system that was quite popular here in Austria - I used to have one as a kid and have since collected almost all there is out there for it :-)

I have a G7000 in the collection somewhere and a few carts. Its a great system from the same time as the Commodore vic 20.

I am fairly sure we have almst every rom for it and also most of the cart and box images as well.

I do have a full collection (ROMs, but also all the original cartridges boxed from all major regions (US, European, Jopac releases from France) - only missing one rare variation of a Jopac game) - its kind of the main system I collect for (though not much left but a few one of a kinds appearing from time to time)

The system actually is from about the same time as the Atari 2600, it was released 1978, just a few month after the VCS.
