Help, Yoshi can't swim! SMSunshine

I've been playing Super Mario Sunshine lately and I'm kind of stuck. There is supposed to be a shine sprite in the main area that you can only get with Yoshi. The only problem is its on an island and for some reason Yoshi disolves in water. I figured out you can get a ride on a boat in town but it just goes in a loop. Does anyone know where to go from there?

No, unfortunately I have no clue on how to help you, only because I never made it any farther than where you find out it's Bowser Jr. that's the villain. Have you looked on youtube for a walkthrough yet?

Thanks Kherr, I hadn't thought of that yet. To tell the truth i've already beat the game but I've been trying to find all the sprites to get the second ending. I would be glad to help in return if you get stuck on where to go next the next time you start playing.

gamefaqs.com has walkthrus, cheats and saves for every game i've ever tried to look up.. might see if a walkthru can tell you what you need if you don't have good 'net for youtube streaming.
