Hi all,
I am new in this forum and I am looking for free ROM of the old snes games. Can anyone advise a good site to download from... an emulator is quiet appreciated as well

you can get the roms here and the emulators as well, check the top of the index page for Rom and emulator links.

is not bad but I do run into a some problem with mame roms. I'm a newb to this site so I couldnt find anything at the moment . Thanks to reply above mine for telling me where they are.

Recent MAME roms are impossible to find since the new MAME releases are very picky with playing older roms. You can get them here but you need to donate first to access the newer roms

hello and welcome
mame can play some snes ports but MAME is all about arcade emulation and not console (nes&etc)emulation.
there are some good guides to understand mame and it is best to most people to use a GUI/frontend for mame .
mameUI32 and i/v play are good for that.
mame is great but unlike normal emulators mame need some tweaking and configure before you start playing.
