i just downloaded PCSX and i wanted to play old psone games on it. I went to Roms/Sony/ps1 i downloaded the Metalgearsolid (rom) and i unziped it. When i unziped it i got

Metal Gear Solid (USA) (v1.1) (Disc 1).bin
Metal Gear Solid (USA) (v1.1) (Disc 1).cue

and I have no clue how to use these files to start the game itself. Ive watched some tutorials on PCSX and it appears that i have everything but the .img file.

do i need this file to play the game, and if i do need it where can i get it?

Bin and Cue files is a disk image, You can burn those whit nero. Or you can convert it to ISO whit tools like MagicIso (not freeware), Or you count mount it whit Deamon tools.

Your always welcome :D

If you want to burn the images to a CD than you could use Roxio Toast on your Mac.
