Hi all,
I'm a new member here so i thought i would "break the ice"
by sharing a find i had a couple of days ago before Xmas at the
local rubbish tip.
Whilst unloading the trailor at the local tip i kicked a cardboard box
out of my way & noticed an Atari cart dislodge from it, thinking to
myself "there could'nt be could there? " i picked up the box &
had a look inside.

Besides some old car magazines the box
contained a complete Megadrive 11 console setup, stand alone joystick plus
15 games in covers with only 1 game missing its booklet & a
Master system to Megadrive cart adaptor. There was also 12 Atari
carts for the XE system, lightgun for the XE plus an Atari power pack
i can only assume was for an XE. I checked other boxes from the same
dump lot but alas no more treasure.
Upon arriving home i tested the megadrive power pack with a
multimeter, it works, so why was it discarded, maybe the unit
itself is defective, only one way to find out & that is to set it up.
I set it up on the spare TV & it fired up straight away with all
the games in working condition, why would someone throw out
a classic working system like a Megadrive, beats me but i always
wanted a megadrive.
Although none of this gear is rare it still qualifies as a find so i hope i'm not
out of place posting it here.
Here's a pic of what i came home with, excuse the quality as i had to use a cheap phone.
Cheers.
