Commodore CDTV

I have been after one of these for a few months now. This is one of the most cool Amiga models ever made and a rare find these days. I will post full details when I receive it.

I remember Commodore showing this baby off at "The Gathering" in Norway when it was released! I remember the were using DeluxePaint (I think it was DP), and were painting on top of a Video they were running at the same time in the CD-rom.. We were all amased, and offcourse in the best "Apple Keynote" manner we were applauding and screaming like crazy when they showed off one feature after the other..

I also remember that CDTV was EXPENSIVE when it was released - and that my A1200 would just have to do :)

@Hot Trout : Congratulation with this nice piece of Amiga history! :)

Thank you. I have been an Amiga owner since it release in 1985. It will always remain one of the best operating systems ever created and a shame that Amiga did'nt dominate the personal computer market.

The CDTV makes my current collection almost complete.

Amiga collection to date

1 x A1000
3 x A500
1 x A500 Plus
2 x A600
3 x A1200
1 x A2000
1 x A2500
1 x CD32
1 x CDTV

MIssing

A3000
A4000

Wow, a great collection there! I think that A3000 and A4000 is not the most difficult computers to get hold of?

I think that my list would look something similar like this one if i had tried to be a collector :

Amiga collection to date

1 x A1000
3 x A500
1 x A500 Plus
2 x A600
3 x A1200
1 x A2000
1 x A2500
1 x CD32
1 x CDTV

Missing :

Wife and my three kids :P

*hehe*

But seriously i'm trying (in silence and in the shadows) to get hold of an Amiga 600 - because of the size and that it would do to get my game collection up and running again! :)

Where are you living, in the UK? I have spare A600's possibly. There was a A3000 on ebay recently but the guy wanted £575 for it. Too rich for me.

The Amiga was and always will be truly groundbreaking and a pleasure to have owned. At a time when the IBM XT offered 512KB of memory, 16 colours and a single speaker for beeps the standard Amiga offered 1MB of ram expandable to 4MB, 4096 colours and 16bit stereo sound. Not to mention dedicated sound and graphics chips and seperate sprite controllers. It was way ahead of the competition.

I got your PM thanks. I will keep my eye to the ground for you. Would an A500 be acceptable. I might have a spare one of those available now.
