Copying 5.25 floppy disc

I have a large number of 5.25 discs that I would like to copy and put on thumb drive or a dedicated hard drive.

My question being, some are copyright protected, or coded before being able to play. If I make disk images of the floppies will that bypass the copyright and make the program usable in either emulation and or copying back on to cd.

I have two old AST 486 computers that have working 5.25 drives and one has 3.5 drive plus cd drive with win 95, the other 5.25,3.5 drives running DOS.

Or is there some hack software that you may have to use?

Thanks

On that Win95 machine, you might be able to make disc images with Alcohol 120%, or maybe even Daemon Tools Light. I am unsure if they'll run on that version on windows though.
