What is a XT generic rom?

I remember when I had my XT computer,
the bios just displayed a ram scan on the top left corner for 512KB, or maybe twice.
Now what I see on new emulators such as pico and pcem or mess,
it shows a large bios splash screen in the center of the screen.
So what actually is a generic XT rom? I wonder.
Thanks
Jack

A generic XT rom would be any compatible PC rom that was based on the IBM 5160 XT range of computers.

Oh, I see, there are actually two options there in pcem,
One XT rom and one XT clone,
I am actually looking for the original XT rom.
Thanks very much...

We have them all, did you find them? Remember to check the BIOS section under our main roms folder.
