Spacewar Turns 50 (and is still sexy)!

Hard to believe, but this month marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Spacewar! One half-century has passed since this game was programed for the PDP-1 by a group at MIT starting in late 1961. One of the first computer games ever created, it became a sensation in computer labs far and wide as it was passed around and ported to many different types of hardware. It's still a good time today, so why not download a version and give it a play!

Image I remember playing the Cinematronics version of this classic many, many years ago in the arcades. The arcade I usually played at had the cocktail version as pictured here.
