TRS80 Micro Color Computer Bug

In the Radio shack manual, Getting Started W Color Basic, it seems that even back in 1981, it was chic to knock Microsoft.

On page 12, at the bottom of the page there is a drawing of a little greeen bug and beside this is the following message :

BUG: If you get a message saying MICROSOFT or an ?FC Error message, it's because you are using a number other than 0 through 8.
