Old Macintosh Emulation

So, I was thinking about something the other day; there are boot roms for old Macs on the site (albeit not all of them, which I can most likely fix), but I noticed that emulators for such are rather scarce. Now, the folks at E-Maculation.com have a cult following of enthusiasts (myself at one time as well) who use emulators for this form of abandonware. Has it ever been considered to add a Mac software category to the site? Some real gems for those systems.

That's a very good question, and I think HT should definitely consider it. :3

We have an Apple Macintosh section but we only have a few roms. If you are able to furnish me with more roms I would gladly put them up.

Yeah, didn't notice the software category. I did manage to get some Mac boot roms, though! I've used the majority of them in SheepShaver or Basilisk II. Should work.

As for software, I have a ton on my Mediafire archive, though quite a bit is pick-through-the-mess-until-you-find-something.

Hey, new here but just wanted to pop on and share a few disk images that I put together a long time ago. I remember it was a huge pain and had to use HFS explorer and jump through a bunch of hoops. Sorry I don't have individual games but really it's a huge pain.

I originally put this together to play on the PSP and Nintendo DS, so there is mostly RPGs that I thought would be more playable at slow frame rates. Still some real classics.

The disks are in a vMac emulator folder. Just open the folder, run vMac and attach Game01.dsk. System 6.0.8 is on that disk. Attach Game02.dsk.

Enjoy.

You can use Basilisk II and higher system disks I'm sure.

Thanks for these and welcome to the forums. te_lanus, do you think you could separate these games into individual zips?

Had a look it's going to be difficult to get everything out. I'll try but it'll take time. Will need to see if I can get it image running under System 7.5.5.
