The different Atari models

Postby crustyasp46 » Tue Mar 15, 2011 7:06 pm

would anyone have an idea how the different models of Atari are different in their programs from one to the other? eg: programming from a 130XE to programming for a 800XL to a 600XL, or are they pretty much compatible?

I know the game cartridges are not interchangeable in some cases from model to model. So is it the same with the programs? :thankyou:

On the whole they are compatable but the XL had additional hardware that could be used within the program and if it was then this made the software hardware specific.
