KX-E764/KX-E828 Panasonic PanaText

Has anyone ever heard of the KX-E764/KX-E828 Panasonic PanaText?
I was only able to find an old ad by google of it and that's it on the internet.
It uses 56K CP/M 2.2-C
With ATLAS 1.1B (Automated Typing/Local Administrative Service)

It came with all the books, and the main software, works like a charm (except I couldn't get the all in one Printer/typewriter/keyboard to work as the keyboard
to type on to the screen, the separate keypad that it came with works though) Yes i looked through every piece of every page trying to figure it out, funny thing though the keypad is only suppose to be an extension of the normal keyboard, and the input connection is a 7-pin DIN connection, but that's only usually used for audio isn't it? Seems odd for a text based computer.

Here is a couple of old computerworld ads in 85, this one is in NOV, 4th :
Code: Select all
https://books.google.com/books?id=a8FBzsfoBZEC&pg=PA122&dq=kx-e828&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjmprDrxvfPAhVD4iYKHWyBCHMQ6AEILDAC#v=onepage&q=kx-e828&f=false

And this one in NOV, 18:
Code: Select all
https://books.google.com/books?id=O90MzD9_kawC&pg=PA70&dq=kx-e828&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjmprDrxvfPAhVD4iYKHWyBCHMQ6AEIKDAB#v=onepage&q=kx-e828&f=false
Mine didn't come with that keyboard, but with a KX-E700M Printer/typewriter/keyboard to use with the system instead and came with the keypad as stated in my manual's. My system in the book says it was purchased 6, 85, and when you always first start the computer with the software (of course) the date is always 19/5/85 normally it should be 5/19/85 (date system in us)just not to confuse anyone, but the first is how the date is put in.

I think the reason I couldn't find anything on the KX-E764 is because it is the business version(so it was not publicly available, I did get this system what may have been a newspaper publishing business at one time, I work at one so I know what they look like) , while the KX-E828 was the final consumer version, I have the KX-E764.

I have not come across that system although it might have been known by another name elsewhere around the globe. Good post though and thanks for the info.
