Hello. Do you mean that the user that we know called whisp has passed away? If this is the case I am very saddened to hear that. I can take care of any and all deletions of his accounts.

no, i'm still here, it's my uncle that has passed away, could just reset the boxes to factory settings but i know my aunt would prefer to have the actual accounts deleted. it's probably on their sites how to delete but tbh i'm not exactly in a mood just now to trawl looking for it. was just hoping someone would know :good:

I believe you can go into systems settings of the console and delete the accounts that way. If that dosen't work, you can contact Sony and Microsoft, and I'm sure they'll be able to delete them for you.

will try that later in the week once the funerals by, had been going up playing tiger woods every saturday with him since he found out he was terminal, so at least got to say my good bye's and the fact the 2 of us had long histories gaming meant we had plenty to chat about and reminisce about old games, he was never one for retro gaming, as soon as he was done with a game, that was him, he would never go back and i can thank him for getting me into world of tanks, the fact it isnt out on xb1 yet is the main reason i havent upgraded my 360 yet, well that and the fact it's the star wars 360 i have :D

well, i'd just like to say that microsoft were a great help and gave me a link for closing it down and also placed a note on his account about his passing so that if there was any activity other than me closing it down it would be spotted straight away, 1st time i've had to use their support and it was first class :hi:

been given his PS3 and 360 from my aunt as she didn't want to sell them incase whoever bought them could retrieve anything, my daughter is extremely pleased as she now has a minecraft machine, sorry xbox in her bedroom lol

Sony can be pretty piss poor at support and I wasn't surprised on how Microsoft handled your situation since they are usually good at that. I am sorry about your uncle and I hope you have a Merry Christmas and if we dont see you, a Happy New Year!

Update - Apparently you cannot delete a Sony account and it will remain on the servers forever. All you can do is reset your machine to remove it locally.
