Need help choosing NDS or DSi for playing Kingdom Hearts

So ive had a Nintendo DSi for about a year now, and the only reason i bought it was to play Kingdom hearts, plus i like the camera feature. in December, there is a new kingdom hearts game coming out, that i plan on buying. SOOOO, i hear you cant play regular DS games on a 3DS, & so i guess im keeping my DSi & buying a 3DS. what ID LIKE TO KNOW; is it worth it? what other features does the 3DS have? HELP ME OUT HERE GAMERS. thanks very much.

first you CAN play DS games on a 3DS.

some things the 3DS has
"3D"
larger screen
Supports DSi ware
Virtual console with the following systems:

• Game Boy
• Game Boy Color
• Game Boy Advance (these were only for people that bought before the price drop)
• Sega Game Gear
• Nintendo Entertainment System

Then you have other things like Netflix,Hulu,and Youtube

These are some things there might be more but these are the ones i think are the best

Well said gamfrkI. I would add a suggestion that you get the 3DS XL as it has 90% larger screens, however at a slight cost of some pixelation. If you don't mind the pixelation this device is great for playing old DS games on. I personally use an R4i 3DS that I purchased from a website about a year ago to play all the NDS ROMS I can get my grubby little paws on and it works fine.

Be forewarned, if you do decide to purchase any R4 device, they're not the simplest of things to work with. I also recommend buying two of whichever one you decide to purchase if you do, because they are also cheap and break easily. Always nice to have a backup. I personally suggest the R4i 3DS. Thing works in my 3DS XL without issue and plays all kinds of games and homebrew software. It doesn't run 3DS ROMs though like the R4iGOLD 3DS does. That one is a bit more costly though.

I think R4 cards no longer work with the latest firmware on 3DS...but I could be wrong...
