I am thinking of jailbreaking my ipad 2. It will be the first time I've ever jailbroken anything.
Before I do, I'm wondering what emulators (if any) exist for jailbroken ipads. Can I play MAME, NES, SNES, etc games?

Not yet. I'm still on the fence about it. I already have emulators on my PC, so I almost feel like having them on my ipad would be redundant, especially since I can't use a controller to play them on an ipad but I can on my PC.

sure you can, I have 2 wii classic controllers & an iCade arcade setup which I use for MAME & SNES on the pad
plus you have the luxury of being portable. I work away a lot & so all my favourite games n systems go with me
but if you already have it covered thats cool. There are many other benefits to jailbreaking though

How does the Wii controller connect?
Also, can it be used for all emulators or just MAME and SNES?

When you install an emulator, for instance SNES9x, a few other dependencies will be installed. Amongst them is one called BT STACK, which allows Bluetooth tethering & support for non supported Devices, like the
wiimote.
Yes it works on various emulators
Rumour is that the N64 emulator which is being worked on could support PS3 controllers.. That's something I'm lookin forward to!
