Ps3 Controller on BSNES?

I'm running windows 7 and just installed bsnes. Its been a long time since I've used rom's, was a big fan years ago and was feeling nostalgic. ;)

Is it possible to use my ps3 controller for BSNES, or any other emulator? I plugged it in and it downloaded drivers, but no response from emulator.

Thanks for responses!

are you running 32 or 64 bit win 7, and which emulator are you using?

He mentioned he is using BSNES.

A quick google search provided me with this:

What I gather is that you have to run the program after you install the drivers and then get the controller to respond. After that you need to go into the BSNES Emulator and set up your controller under:
Settings -- Configuration -- Input -- Controller 1 -- Gamepad
and then you set up the buttons in there.

Let us know how it goes or any problems your having :hi:

lol, I'm a 'she'. Girl gamers do exist!

Just for update, I haven't had the the time to get too deeply into this conundrum yet since I'm busy with school. I have not had good success in finding drivers for my ps3 controller. Looking for 64bit windows 7, a couple of places I've gone to look they appear to no longer exist there. Not as 'plug and play' as one might enjoy. :D

Yes, welcome, playfulfish, and please excuse the others for referring to you as the " first Female gamer, politeness would have had them refer to you as your gamer name, and then referenced you as the first female forum poster, and then the celebration should have begun, ( dances away amidst the empty beer bottles and dirty socks, helps Kherr with another facepalm !!!) BTW HT, if those are free, I'll have two!

And playfufish, I knew there were female gamers, I have a granddaughter, that can outplay most of the grandsons. And again welcome to TOC, sometimes referred to as the mad house. :bow2: :bow1: :welcome: :welcome:
