Help choosing proper gun?

Hey, this is my first post. Great site I must say. But, my question is- can anyone tell me what the best gun(USB or wireless) to get that would support Mad Dog Mcree(not emulated, Windows version, but I'll emulate if I have to), Badlands via Daphne, and most or at least some of the best emulators for various retro consoles?(Mainly NES, SNES and Sega are the concerns). The computer in question is running win7 Ultimate. Appreciate any help, and apologies if this is in the wrong section.
:anyone: :thankyou:

Hello and welcome,

That sounds like an excellent idea but not something that I have ever tried. I dont know what to advise. Anyone else have any ideas?

Silly me, Badlands, though it is a shooting game, didn't have a gun. Didn't do my research. All I need to worry about is the other systems now, I'm looking at choices from here.
Code: Select all

Any suggestions? Looking for highest game/emulator compatibility AND monitor/TV type compatibility, or at least a balance of the 2. And thanks for the welcome. I'm gonna give Badlands a shot using just the keyboard- it only had one button.

light guns don't work on new tv(s).

lcd and led wont help you,if you want to use a light gun you need good old fat CRT tv.

I've never used them myself, but a friend of mine recommends the AimTrak gun from Ultimarc. With that gun it doesn't matter what type of TV you have since it uses an LED sensor bar to read your aim, like the Wii.

And it must be 50 Hz. I own some guns for Sinclair, C64 and Amiga and all those are not working on a 100 Hz tv. Don't know if newer guns are working on 100 Hz or LCD/LED.

the only emulators that i've seen with any type of light gun support are for the NES and SNES. and those use the computers mouse to emulate the light gun. to be honest, i've never heard of any light guns for PC's.
