Emulation on Linux

Hey there. I've been wondering, are there any Linux-compatible emulators out there? Windows is quite broken on my laptop, so I usually run Ubuntu on it. I've seen a few emulators labeled as Linux-compatible, but I was looking for recommendations by more experienced users. The less programs I have to run under Wine, the better. :D

H ave you tried to link to the emulator section. There are numerous Linux emulators listed. Which is the best, I can not help you on that, but there may be others who can. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Wlcome to TOC. :welcome:

It depends on which system you are looking to emulate.

SNES: ZSNES
NES: FCEUX
Gameboy Series: VisualBoyAdvance
PSX: pSX

Those are the ones that I deal with normally. Others in our community play a further range of systems that I do so they will have better input
Hope that helps

Those are what I would normally use, but I was under the assumption most of those wouldn't work on Linux. Turns out all my preferred emulators will. I probably should have known that.

Thanks for your help!

No problem. Most of the best emulators tend to be cross compatible for the OSes because of demand. Which is nice
