In most cases the multiple games with the same name are just different release versions. Today we would call them patched version that fix bugs or errors that the coders found as the game was played. Most of the time you will want to find the last version of the game. Usually this is as easy as looking at the numbers and picking the largest one. Example name1.3 VS game2.5 . Hope this helps.
